Well, here we are, Almost, Jordon announced as she steered the swerving car off the main road and into the ranch. “This is where you live ? Shane asked her. “Used to be my dad’s place. I grew up here but moved to California right after high school. Hardly been back since, she added. “Where’s your dad? Bryan asked. He passed on, Jordon replied. Sorry for your loss, Bryan replied politely. They drove beneath the arch the bore the words whispering oaks and Jordon notice Nicky sit up and take notice, This is your place? That right. The ranch house had finally come into view and Jordon headed straight for it. Good, they mumbled. We really need to use the bathroom. Jordon couldn’t help but laugh and heard all the guys deep chuckle, as well. They shared a quick glance and felt that Nicky gaze met her. She quickly looked away. All the guys waited politely at the door until Jordon had made her way up to the porch. She opened the front door and then pointed out the closest bathroom.. Jordon swung open the kitchen door and was greeted by Kate expectant look on her face. Mike, called a few minutes ago, Kate told her immediately. He stuck in the storm. Oh my god, what I’m going to do.
When she opened hers eyes, Nicky stood watching her, so do the other guys..by his side. The corner of their mouth turned up and almost smiled. Bad news from the groom? Very bad, Jordon replied. When she met Nicky’s gaze, he looked as if he wanted to ask more, offer his help. So who are these five guys you brought back with you ? Kate question startled Jordon. Kate just stared at them. Well, maybe that’s the way her father had wanted it anyway. Her father always wanted a son to carry on the family name and run the ranch. Tears burned her eyes and she wiped them away with her hand. He look handsome and sexy to me. Kate!! Jordon interrupted her. All right. Whatever. Kate stepped back raising her hands in a sign of surrender. Sorry for butting in. Then she turn away and looking at Shane who was sitting on the couch with the rest of them. As Kate and the guys retreated Jordon dared to cast a slow glance in Nicky’s direction. She watched as he sat back at the chair. She didn’t know what it was about him – made her lose her train of thought.. Completely…. Nicky stared straight back at her and she felt her cheeks grow warm.
